| Bandai's mobile phone website m-pub.channel.or.jp is hosting a graphic that reads as follows:
New Code Geass
Project Launch Green-Lit!
Wait for more info in 2010!!
The image adds that this project represents a "rebirth" and that Geass will take a new step starting today. The message is signed with the name, "ZERO."
In the January 2009 issue of Gakken's Animedia magazine, the Sunrise anime studio indicated the possibility of more plans for its Code Geass science-fiction franchise. Sunrise created and animated the Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion television anime series and its R2 sequel. Sunrise did not indicate the format that any hypothetical future plans might take. The Adult Swim television programming block ran Bandai Entertainment's adaptation of the R2 sequel in North America.

Update: More background information added.
Update 2: The website has reverted back to its earlier contents, and the image revealing the new Code Geass project is no longer posted on the main page, even though it is still available by directly accessing its address.
Update 3: The same message that appeared on the mobile website also appears on the franchise's computer website after the main page downloads a Flash interstitial. It was also repeated during Saturday's "Kiseki no Tanjōbi" event. Thanks eaglestorm and Crystal.
Update 4: The franchise's computer website has posted a page devoted to the new project. The page has a message from Code Geass producer Yoshitaka Kawaguchi. According to Kawaguchi, the new project will feature the simultanteous releases of comic series, music, new products under development, and visual works. More details will be revealed in the January issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Newtype magazine, which ships this week.

| Yeah i've seen it  Thats why I wonder how could a sequel take place. It seemed like a perfect ending. But it did show C2 at the end, so maybe she'll give a geass to someone else? | |

| lol Really? I actually gotten use to that voice after the first few episodes of the original. It'll be cool though, voices never bother me when they do a great job ^^ Can't wait to see Suzaku again, and I wonder who'll be the new enemy? Will it be Britania? Or another major power? | |

| Not really Lelouch was the Hero.
But The Black Knight's didn't think that was the way to take upon the plan remember... Lelouch made them this way... Like how when Zero at end was actually Suzaku...

| ~I agree completly but what I meant was that in the eyes of the population The Black Knights are now heroes because they stopped the "tyrant" Lelouch.Only a few people eally know what happened.

| I'm amazed...I think R2's ending was the perfect ending, and Lelouch dying really made sense...the thing is him reviving has no real meaning in my eyes, and it will probably ruin my opinion of the anime a bit...though I won't try to judge this whole thing, and I'd rather wait for the episodes, I have a bad feeling | |
