The original is the best IMO, all three discs of it

and Advent Children just reinforces that, it's the best part of the Compilation

IMO Crisis core is the best because you get to play as the REAL hero of the FFVII Game's and so on, but the ending is SOOOO SAD!

I am with SD on this one. Nothing is better than the original Smile if only you could play as Reno, then it would be even more epic Laughing

~I only played a bit of CC after borrowing a psp from a friend and it's great but I have to say the original was the best. But I do like Zack the best of them all..it's probably that the first story simply grasped and touched me deep.It would be so great if they updated it with new graphics..an impossible dream. _

I gotta say the original FFVII was the best, it really made me love the FF games and I bought a bunch more just because of this game. Crisis Core is good but it cannot touch the epicness of this game.

ALthough I cant agree with you SOul the true hero will always be Cloud lol.

PostSubject: Re: Compilation of Final Fantasy VII   Compilation of Final Fantasy VII EmptyWed Feb 17, 2010 8:09 am

Ahhhh... I love this thread already. 1st off I'll tart with my favorite movie. An it's gonna be Advent Children it's 1 of the most epic movies I have seen that have to deal with FF. An the best 1 so far.
Now for the game. I have to go for FF Crisis Core. This only reasons why... Game play was awesome just moves lacked a little and the most epic poem ever written. I have all plays even the missing play that has been re wrote-n by Genesis himself.

But all Final Fantasy Fans (FFF) may know their was a poem said in the game and some movies well would like to talk about what you think about this poem that Genesis always talking about Here is the magnificent poem even the lost poem

Final Fantasy VII - Crisis Core
--=[ Loveless ]=--

_________________________________________

LOVELESS ( INTERPRETED )

Loveless - Prologue

When the war of the beasts brings about the world’s end
The goddess descends from the sky

Wings of light and dark spread afar
She guides us to bliss, her gift everlasting

Loveless - Act I

The Infinite mystery
The gift of the goddess is what the three men seek
But their fates are scattered by war

One becomes a hero, one wanders the land
And the last is taken prisoner

But the three are still bound by a solemn oath
To seek the answer together, once again

Loveless - Act II

Though the prisoner escapes, he is gravely wounded
His life is saved, however
By a woman of the opposing nation

He begins a life of seclusion with her
Which seems to hold the promise of eternal bliss

But as happiness grows, so does guilt
Of not fulfilling the oath to his friends

Loveless - Act III

As the war sends the world hurling towards destruction
The prisoner departs with his newfound love
And embarks on a new journey

He is guided by hope that the gift will bring bliss
And the oath that he swore to his friends

Though no oath is shared between the lovers
In their hearts they know they will meet again

LOVELESS ( POEM )

Loveless - Prologue

When the war of the beasts brings about the world’s end
The goddess descends from the sky

Wings of light and dark spread afar
She guides us to bliss, her gift everlasting

Loveless - Act I

Infinite in mystery is the gift of the goddess
We seek it thus, and take it to the sky
Ripples form on the water’s surface
The wandering soul knows no rest

Loveless - Act II

There is no hate, only joy
For you are beloved by the goddess
Hero of the dawn, Healer of worlds

Dreams of the morrow hath the shattered soul
Pride is lost
Wings stripped away, the end is nigh

Loveless - Act III

My friend, do you fly away now?
To a world that abhors you and I?
All that awaits you is a somber morrow
No matter where the winds may blow

My friend, your desire
Is the bringer of life, the gift of the goddess

Even if the morrow is barren of promises
Nothing shall forestall my return

Loveless - Act IV

My friend, the fates are cruel
There are no dreams, no honor remains
The arrow has left the bow of the goddess

My soul, corrupted by vengeance
Hath endured torment, to find the end of the journey
In my own salvation
And your eternal slumber

Legend shall speak
Of sacrifice at world’s end
The wind sails over the water’s surface
Quietly, but surely

Loveless - Act V -Made by Genesis-

Even if the morrow is barren of promises
Nothing shall forestall my return
To become the dew that quenches the land
To spare the sands, the seas, the skies
I offer thee this silent sacrifice.

Your right on 2 this story only talks about...
Sephiroth, Genesis, Angeal... If you have played this game and understand the story line with it you can actually put the poem together with them that best matches them together.
I'll give you a example...

Quote :
One becomes a hero(Angeal), one wanders the land(Sephiroth)
And the last is taken prisoner(Genesis)

You can tell this poem all fits together very well with these 3.
Zack Fair only made this happen for each of them.

Ah, the memories of my FFVII days. It was the first game I played that had a character affection system. I always got Yuffie for some reason. XD But I could never get Barret to go out with Cloud Sad Oh well XD I got Tifa a few times and Aerith a few more times than Tifa... One of the best parts of this game IMO. XD

*ahem* On a more serious note.... CLOUD AND SEPHIROTH FIGHTING IN SPACE! ....... SHIRTLESS!!!! *cue fangirl screams*

I love these games, original's the best though. Advent Children was awesome, though the story was a bit... myeh :/

CC was very well done! Loved every minute of it.

Derge of Cerberus..... Good concept... but too different to be called an FF game. IMO
