| Okay, so I'm looking for a nice shoujo anime/manga and if it has humor in it, much better. Can't be bothered to care for something that can't amuse me the slightest. Nothing too mushy though, but not quite shonen-ish. And I'd like it if it didn't have like a hundred thousend episodes My idea is to build my collection and since I have the chance to download a lot now, I'd like to take the chance. Anyways, I'm sort of interested in shoujo now. I'm gonna tell you what I have so you don't rec any of the ones I already have: Toradora, Ouran HSHC, Kimi ni Todoke and Clannad (still downloading it). I also bought Pandora Hearts on dvd. So there you have it. Recs please Also, if anyone can breakdown Clannad for me. I mean, the sequels and what not. It's like Clannad, After Clannad, After After Clannad, After *gets shot* | |

| Here are some of the best Shojo I've read and seen.Sorry if the list is a bit long.^^
- Spoiler:
~Fruits basket/Furuba is good, there's comedy and real drama there. The characters really develop and grow through the story,it's not too long either..I think volume 20-21 was last. Some of the character transform into their zodiac animal when hugged by member of opposite sex so there's a lot of funny scenes that rise from this. What I liked most is that you come to really care for everyone. There's also an anime beside the manga but I haven't watched it yet.
~Chobits is nice and short, only 6 volumes and 26 episodes. It's about a guy that finds a persocom(personal computer shaped like a human) in the trash. He names her Chii after the first word she speaks and through the story they explore the mysteries of Chii's past that she has forgotten and the relationship between humans and persocoms.
~Mars is a wonderful manga about the relationship between the quiet, withdrawn artist Kira and Rei,a playboy delinquent.I know it sounds very stereotypical but it's not.The slow feelings developing between them and the painful pasts that they overcome with each others help are very well written and showed. The style of drawing is also a bit unusual.
~Oh/Ah My Goddess. This series has a lot of comedy, weidness and romance. It revolves around Keichi, who accidentally calls a Goddess Help Line and has a Goddess Belldandy show up in his dorm room through a mirror.Thinking it a joke, when she says she'll grant one wish he asks her to stay with him forever. That's how it starts and hilarity insures, especially after her younger and older sisters show up, but there are a lot of sweet moments between the two.The series has deep roots in Norse Mythology. There's an anime and a manga.
~Fushigi Yugi:The Mysterious Play. There are 52 episodes and 18 volumes. This series has a bit of everything:drama, action, comedy, fantasy and romance. The story follows Miaka who finds a strenge book in the liblary and opening it gets sucked inside. Here's a link to wiki which explains it better then I could: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fushigi_Yugi
~Vampire Knight. The Cross academy is attended by The Day Class and The Night Class. The two cross paths only at twilight when one group is leaving the other coming.Yuki Cross and Zero Kiryu are the Guardians of the school, there to protect the Day Class from the Academy's dark secret: the Night Class is full of vampires.Yuki also has a mystrious past as does Zero.
~Skip Beat. This series is funny, with slight romance and periodical seriousness.Kyoko Mogami followed her true love Sho to Tokyo to support him while he made it big as an idol. But he's casting her out now that he's famous! Kyoko won't suffer in silence--she's going to get her sweet revenge by beating Sho in show biz!
~W Juliet. This is a sweet manga.Ito is in the theater club at school and meets the beautiful new student Makoto, the girls become instant friends.Except that it tuns out Makoto is actually a guy.He made a deal with his father that if he attended a school for a year as a girl and noone found out he'd be allowed to pursue theater as a carrier.

| DeeDee I recommend Midori no Hibi. It's short, romantic, funny and made me cry. ;_; You can watch anime or manga, but I liked the manga a lot better. | |

| For anyone looking for an action packed Manga/Manwha crossover. Kurokami (Black God) is a manga drawn and written by Manwha artists. The blend of both styles is very well done. The artwork is incredible, (See ava and sig, main character Kuro) It takes a while to sink in, but the characters really grow on you. Things get kind of graphic sometimes, but it's never too over the top... Well... except that one flashback arc... That was... o_o"" But it's a great manga, and it was adapted into a 23 episode anime. The animation is incredible! The plot, was a little more botched down for kids though. :/ They turned a seinen manga, into a shonen anime. Take it however you wish. XD But I really liked both adaptations, the manga is still ongoing, the anime has its own ending. PlotDoppeliners... Three people, chosen by fate, almost exactly alike. The root, and the two subs. Should the two subs meet, they die, and their fate and luck get transferred to the root. This is the doppeliner system. The Mototsumitama, are in charge of making sure that this system is upheld. Keita Ibuki's other died in an accident after seeing a woman that looked exactly like her. Keita grew up to be a bitter college student and video game designer, (High School kid in the anime)Keita lives alone, but Akane, his childhood friend, often comes to take care of him. (Cue Akane's crush, it's so obvious. ) He learns from a strange girl he meets named Kuro, whom he meets at a ramen shop, (Yum) that his mother actually met her doppeliner that day. Unfortunately, she must've not been a root, as she had died soon after. Keita initially doesn't believe this strange girl claiming to be a godly Mototsumitama. Eventually they form a pact, (Read for details, its actually very interesting) and begin to train with each other. Eventually, Kuro's past comes into play. This is accompanied by the revelation, that Keita is more involved in the doppeliner system than he initially thought... It gets much more detailed than that, but that's pretty much a basic outline of the series. Check it out! I highly recommend it! | |

| I recommend
One Piece- One of the most epic mangas out there, its one of the three SHounen Jump juggernauts lol. I love it the storyline is great, the characters are awesome, and every single chapter leaves you waiting for the next. If you can get past the fact that there are over 500 chapters to read I recommend reading it.
Fairy Tail- I just started reading it but it has already made its way on my favorite manga list. Its just so goo I love reading it. It actually made me shed some tears too. Only around 170 chapters to read so not as bad. | |
